UMN’s Sustainable Procurement Policy: Building a Future Beyond Carbon

Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) is leading the way in environmental stewardship with its Sustainable Procurement Policy. To achieve this, we are investing in renewable energy solutions, including the installation of solar panels across campus. This shift to clean energy helps lower our carbon footprint and sets a powerful example of what institutions can accomplish by investing in sustainable alternatives. 

Our procurement policy prioritizes goods and services that are both environmentally responsible and socially beneficial. When selecting vendors, we seek partners committed to sustainability, ensuring that their practices align with our values. This includes prioritizing suppliers who use eco-friendly materials, support ethical labor practices, and reduce environmental impacts across their production processes. By selecting vendors that share our goals, we amplify our commitment to a more sustainable economy. 

Our commitment to reducing waste and energy use is evident across campus. Through a “zero-waste” policy, UMN aims to significantly cut down on single-use plastics, increase recycling efforts, and encourage the use of reusable materials. Energy efficiency measures, such as LED lighting, efficient HVAC systems, and responsible electricity use, further reduce our environmental impact.
