Tangerang – UMN and the Directorate General of National Export Development of the Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia have officially collaborated through the signing of an MoU and discussions on cooperation programs.
On Tuesday (19/03), UMN and the Directorate General of National Export Development of the Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia formalized their cooperation on the UMN campus.
The signing of the MOU was attended by Prof. Dr. Muliawati G. Siswanto, M. Eng.Sc, the UMN Vice-Rector for Relations and Cooperation; Dr. Ir. P. M. Winarno, M.Kom, the Director of LPPM UMN; Muhammad Cahya Mulya Daulay, S.Sn., M. Ds., the Dean of the Faculty of Film and Design; and Fonita Theresia Yoliando S. In addition to the signing of the MOU, UMN and the Directorate General of National Export Development also held a joint discussion. Winarno opened the discussion as the Director of LPPM UMN.
“UMN’s Faculty of Art and Design focuses on the creative industry and development. This is often realized by the faculty. Whether from the MBKM Entrepreneurship program, Village Projects, or Research,” Winarno said in opening the discussion.

UMN and the General of National Export Development work together to continue contributing to society so that what has been learned on campus will return to society. This cooperation is to help export-import carried out by the Indonesian Ministry of Trade.
“The first potential cooperation that might be done is an internship system. There will be two students who will join the nutritionist team. We aim to make a kind of export-import book regarding packaging because each country is different. This guidebook is expected to help in the long run,” said Fonita during the discussion.
Both parties also discussed future programs allowing cooperation, such as the MBKM program and organizing film or art festivals.
“We hope the existing program can run smoothly and be completed quickly. Students can work together with other designers and compile designs so that students also know which countries we export most often and most in accordance with the target countries, “said Merry.
The Indonesian Ministry of Trade also said that they can collaborate in making international festivals if they have good products. The Indonesian Ministry of Trade is open to cooperation with UMN, so UMN students can also directly work and apply the knowledge they have gained on campus.
