Tangerang – Hospitality UMN held a career talk and cooking demonstration with Bryan Laughlin as the representative from Disney Cruise Line. He gave some information about working on Disney Cruise Line and cooking demonstrations.
Hospitality UMN held an event “A Day With Disney” on (25/10), one of the programs from Hotel Festival 2023 : Asti Antargata. This even has two session, the first session is career talk with Bryan Laughlin as the Senior Recruiter Disney Cruise Line.
On this career talk Bryan explains about career in Disney Cruise Line. Disney Cruise Line is one of the company from The Walt Disney. Operated in the cruise tourism sector. On this opportunity Bryan talk about how to apply and work in Disney Cruise Line.
Bryan gave the explanation about the qualifications before we can sign up to Disney Cruise Line, starting from minimum age, passport, minimum experience, interview process which is english skill assessment, pre-screen and also some other qualifications from Disney Cruise Line.
Disney Cruise Line also give some facility for the employee who works there such as room abroad, medical coverage, wifi packages, employee assistance program, and crew wellness. So the employee there could tell what they needed.
The other facility that Disney Cruise Line provides to the employee is Disneyland park admission where we can access Disneyland everywhere, Disney+ access, Disney merchandise discount both offline and online, and also other discounts from companies who works with Disney.
There are some big reward that he achieve such as crew member experience that they gain, engaging with the guest, and also engaging with the kids, it’s an experience you couldn’t pay off.
“My life was about standardization i’m making the standard, how you give the guest and to the company. We dont want to recruit a robots we dont want AI. It’s all about the people we fill our ships with”, says Bryan on the talk show.

The second session is a cooking demo with Chef Bryan. In this session he demonstrates his cooking. Bryan cooks a Gnocchi, all of the student we’re interested and pay so much attention to this cooking demonstration.
