Tangerang – UMN’s Diploma Hospitality study program has achieved “Excellent” accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi/BAN-PT). This accreditation legality was issued on (04/06).
After going through a long process, UMN’s Diploma in Hospitality program achieved “Excellent” accreditation from BAN-PT and is stated in the decision letter number 4574/SK/BAN-PT/Ak/D3/VI/2024.
The head of the Diploma Hospitality Study Program, Oqke Prawira, SST.Par, M.Si.Par. said that many preparations were involved, starting from coordination with departments related to data and communication with students, graduates, lecturers, and graduate users to support the implementation of field visitation.
“The challenge when preparing for this accreditation is to prepare the complete documents needed for accreditation, starting from the CPMK, CPL, and the process of managing the study program to the output produced from the curriculum that has been made,” Oqke said.
Oqke also conveyed the new plan for the Hospitality Study Program. Following the direction of the Rectorate with the achievement of this accreditation, the new program to be implemented is to increase the education level of the Hospitality Study Program from Diploma to Applied Bachelor.
“I hope that the Hospitality Study Program can become a leading Study Program that can contribute to producing young professionals in the hospitality field,” he continued.
Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, also appreciated the Hospitality Study Program team’s preparation and was happy that the Hospitality Study Program had achieved Excellent accreditation. Friska also stated that several new programs will be developed to be better and meet industry needs and current developments.
“I hope that the Hospitality Study Program can be even better in the future. It will also continue to develop cooperation with international partners to ensure that more and more graduates can have a career at the international level,” said Friska in an interview.
