UMN’s XXVII Graduation Ceremony Kicks Off 1,380 Graduates’ First Steps into the Professional World

TANGERANG – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara received the 2024 Professor appointment decree from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, which was submitted by the Head of LLDIKTI Region III Prof. Dr. Toni Toharudin, S.Si., M.Sc. Monday, (06/01/24). Two of UMN’s best lecturers, Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T. and Prof. Dr. Florentina Kurniasari T., S.Sos., M.B.A., now officially hold the status of Professor.
This recognition further strengthens UMN’s commitment to producing high-quality human resources and contributing to the development of science in Indonesia. The presence of Professors at UMN directly impacts the quality of learning received by students. They will get more profound knowledge transfer, inspiration to excel, and quality guidance from experts in their fields. In addition, the research and publications produced by UMN professors will enrich the treasures of science in the country and the world.

UMN’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T, was inaugurated as a Professor of Information Systems Science. Then, the Dean of the UMN Faculty of Business, Prof. Dr. Florentina Kurniasari T., S.Sos., M.B.A., received the title of Professor of Technology Management Science. A long process and high dedication also accompanied Friska and Florentina’s journey to achieving this highest academic position.
Since her appointment as Head Lecturer in 2021, Friska has continued to show her commitment through research, publications, and community service. According to her, this achievement is inseparable from the support and enthusiasm of the UMN team.
“And for suggestions or in the future, I hope that there will be more professors, especially in UMN and the LLDikti Region III environment,” Friska hoped.
Similarly, Florentina expressed her gratitude and hope for the degree she achieved. She also bluntly revealed that many processes must be followed to carve out this Professor title, especially regarding publications and research.
“We are also grateful because, during the document collection process, we were assisted by an excellent team from UMN and the LLDikti III team. Hopefully, in the future, more and more UMN professors. We also have an obligation to contribute greatly to UMN and education in Indonesia,” Florentina said.

UMN Rector Dr. Ir. Andrey Andoko, M.Sc., also expressed his pride in Friska and Florentina’s achievement in reaching the highest level of academic position as Professor. Not only is this an internal pride for UMN, but Andrey said this achievement also contributes significantly to improving the university’s reputation in the national and international arena. He hopes this achievement will motivate other UMN academics to continue to excel and work, strengthening UMN’s position as one of Indonesia’s leading higher education institutions.
“Of course, this achievement can also inspire other lecturers to be diligent and produce works and achievements that will later become provisions to get become professors. Because it is actually not difficult, as long as lecturers continue to work and excel,” Andrey said.
Dr. Ir. Teddy Surianto, Chairman of the Multimedia Nusantara Foundation, also expressed his appreciation and hopes for the inauguration of UMN professors. He hopes this inauguration can strengthen UMN’s academic competence and encourage the university’s development in a better direction.
“The hope of the Foundation, of course, is that obtaining the title of Professor, which is an honor, can help and strengthen the academic competence in UMN. Then, UMN can also continue to develop with the ability and support of the current professors,” Teddy said.
