November 5, 2024MMT UMN’s visit to Telkomsel Indonesia with DQLab (Doc. UMN)
Jakarta – On Friday (25/10), the Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) Master of Management Technology (MMT) study program visited Telkomsel Indonesia. This visit was intended for students to gain deeper knowledge about Artificial Intelligence and its uses. This seminar was also supported by DQLab.
“Artificial Intelligence in my opinion is currently very important because the industry is now looking for talent that is capable of AI. Many industries are ready for this new technology but many employers are not ready,” Ni Made Chyntia, the Employer Branding of Telkomsel Indonesia, said.
Chyntia also added that through this, Telkomsel initiated “Digistarhub.”
“I am happy to see your enthusiasm because DQLab is here to answer and fulfill the needs of today’s society. With the advancement of technology now, this workshop is intended to help you use AI,” said Aldo Hasan, DQLab Event Officer. Abdul Jabar, data scientist at Telkom Indonesia, continued this workshop and training as a resource person for today’s activities. In this session, Jabar also discusses Artificial Intelligence.
“AI takes data from many things and the training data is very large. There is also generative AI whose intelligence is equivalent to humans. AI also has many uses ranging from chatbots, sentiment analysis, text classification, image analytics, text to speech and many more,” Jabar said.
Jabar also added in his presentation that we do not have limits to the use of AI. According to Jabar, the limit of using AI also depends on our expertise in using AI and where our field is. The deeper we learn and know AI, the more complex it will be.
“I think in the world of work, it is not a problem if we use AI. In fact, AI helps us become more speedy than when not using it at all. I don’t think it’s possible for us to give all our work to AI because our work will not be completed. AI should help us to complete our tasks and develop our skills,” Jabar continued. This activity was followed by training on data analysis and data prompting with Jabar, followed by the participants who were divided into groups.
