September 22, 2015Building a start-up is not an easy thing for most people to do, including students. However, this is not impossible to do. There are several tips that can be learned to successfully build your own start-up business including if the business turns out to be a failure.
This was revealed by Calvin Kizana as CEO of Picmix in the 9th Indosat Wireless Innovation Contest (IWIC) Roadshow held last Tuesday (15/9) at UMN function hall. In his sharing, Calvin has a variety of experiences in building start-ups and how to minimize or deal with failure.
“When failure happens we have to be able to anticipate it. We should not be frustrated but must respond positively. Like a scientist, when failure strikes we must learn the cause of failure.”
In addition, he also added that if you want to succeed in building start-ups, people must also master other sciences, such as business, finance, and technology. If you want to create a mobile application business for that is also understood and needed by people. This is one way that our products are in demand by the market.
Not only Calvin, roadshow IWIC 9 also presents Novistiar from founder institute. He revealed that now is the most appropriate time to build a technology start-up. Because, in addition to the fact that technology is currently needed by many people, tech start-ups also provide several other advantages.
“One of the benefits that can be obtained is capital and the number of employees who do not need a lot. Not only that, the profits that can be generated are relatively faster than other model start-ups,” he said.
