January 19, 2017Foreign cultures and languages are often an attraction to learn. This applies not only to us Indonesians but also to those from abroad. Students from Swinburne University of Technology Australia and Yonsei and Silla University from South Korea. Their interest in culture and Indonesian eventually led them to join the student exchange program at Multimedia Nusantara University.
Through umn’s Continuing Education Department unit, students from these 3 universities will learn the ins and outs of Indonesian culture, such as language, games, and follow visits to various interesting locations in Indonesia. Not only that, students from Swinburne University will also work on projects with students of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics UMN in a Colombo Plan collaboration over the next 2 weeks.
The welcome of the participants was carried out on Wednesday (18/1) by the umn rectorate. Prof. Muliawati G. Siswanto as Vice Rector of UMN hopefully hopes that these student exchange students will enjoy their time studying at UMN. “We hope that through this program, you can learn a lot about Indonesia,” he said.
In addition, Prof. Caslon, a representative of Swinburne University also hopes that in the future there will be other cooperation formed between UMN and Swinburne. “We are very much looking forward to coming to Indonesia. We hope that in the future not only the Colombo Plan program will run but also there will be other cooperation such as research,” he explained.
