The editing process is like ‘breathing’ for the world of film and animation. The process of uniting image sources, sound sources to color settings are included in this editing process. Likewise, the world of animation requires a manufacturing process that requires an editing process.
The basic difference in the editing process between film and animation is that animation majors must better understand the techniques of making animation, starting from designing 2D or 3D characters. Other things, such as creating storyboards, video editing, and writing scenarios, are the same things studied in the Film and Animation department. From the abilities mentioned above, of course, students majoring in Film and Animation are supported by supporting software. So the expertise of students in operating the software is crucial.

As you know, students majoring in Film and Animation Study must have drawing skills and imagination in designing a storyboard. The storyboard itself is a medium used in the process of developing the storyline. A film or animation without a storyline is impossible. Many films and animations have good quality, one of which is the storyline that the audience can enjoy. So, it’s also vital to imagine.
Be sensitive and explore the characters

Students majoring in Film and Animation must always know the skills to explore people’s characters (roles) well in every filmmaking. This is because every action the player takes must reflect the character(s) and message of the film itself. Likewise, in the character of an animation, an animator must be able to explain what character they made.
Therefore, students majoring in Film and animation must be sensitive and be able to explore or compose a role or character from the person or animation they create. From this, the message conveyed through film or animation will be optimal.
