The undergraduate scholarship program at Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) has two pathways: the scholarship test path and the scholarship no-test path. Prospective students can choose the scholarship path accordingly.
The UMN Undergraduate Test-Path Scholarship Program can be taken by prospective students specifically for class XII students by taking a test. With this scholarship, prospective students may get a tuition discount from entry fees to semester fees based on test results.
Through the UMN undergraduate scholarship test program, you may receive:
- Scholarships starting from 30 to 100% + semester one specifically for study programs: Architecture, Visual Communication Design, Film, and D3 Hospitality.
- Scholarships starting from 30 to 100% + 8 semesters specifically for study programs: Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Accounting, Management, Strategic Communication, and Journalism.
To take the UMN scholarship test, prospective students are expected to pay attention to several provisions, namely:
1. Scholarship requirements
- The applicant has previously filled out the online registration form.
- Applicants must take the tests consisting of English, mathematics, and psychological tests. An additional drawing test will be done for applicants applying for the Faculty of Art & Design.
- If the test is offline, stationeries such as a 2B pencil and an eraser are needed.
- If the test is online, electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, or PCs with an internet connection are needed.
2. Special additional test
- Science test for study programs: Informatics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Engineering Physics.
- Drawing test for study programs: architecture, Visual Design Communications, and Film.
- Social studies test for study programs: Accounting and Information Systems.

The UMN Undergraduate Scholarship No-Test-Path Program has 5 options, namely:
1. Academic merit scholarship path
This scholarship can be taken by high school students in class XII who have academic achievements during class XI. UMN provides tuition relief based on the student’s rank while in class XI semester 2. In addition, some requirements must be met as follows:
- General academic requirements
Applicants are required to receive a certain score for the main subjects, and the requirements depend on the provisions of the study program chosen by the prospective student.
- Ranking requirements
Discounts are based on departmental or school rankings and class rankings per the registration provisions.
2. Scholarships for sports and arts
The scholarship will be given as deductions of tuition fees for students with sports/athletic and artistic achievements. Some requirements must be met by prospective students who want to get this scholarship, namely:
- General academic requirements
Even though the scholarships are in the fields of sports and arts, applicants are required to receive a certain score for the main subjects, which the requirements depend on the provisions of the study program chosen by the prospective student.
- Won a competition
Applicants should at least be placed in third place at a provincial level (as an individual or group) as evidenced by a certificate.
3. Science Olympiad scholarship path
The scholarship will be a discounted entry fee for high school/vocational high school students who received medals at national and international Science Olympiads. Some requirements must be met by prospective students who want to get this scholarship, namely:
- General academic requirements
Applicants are required to receive a certain score for the main subjects, and the requirements depend on the provisions of the study program chosen by the prospective student.
- Participants in the National Science Olympiad
Was a National Science Olympiad participant representing the respective province in 2022, 2021, and 2020 in subjects: physics, biology, chemistry, computers, and astronomy.
- High school graduate
Prospective students who graduated high school in 2022 from an accredited “A” educational institution.
4. Scholarships for teachers/principals/employees/school staff
As a form of appreciation for the dedication of teachers and school employees in educating the nation’s children, UMN provides scholarships in the form of a 50% reduction in tuition fees for children of teachers/principals and a 30% reduction in tuition fees for children of employees/staff in a private or public high school/vocational high school who wants to continue their education at UMN. Some requirements must be met by prospective students who want to get this scholarship, namely:
- General academic requirements
Applicants are required to receive a certain score for the main subjects, and the requirements depend on the provisions of the study program chosen by the prospective student.
- Scholarship requirements for children of teachers or school principals
One of the parents (father or mother) is a teacher, as evidenced by a letter of appointment or employment as a teacher from the institution. The parent(s) must have worked in this position for at least 5 years and are still active at the time of registration.
- Scholarship requirements for children of school staff or employees
One of the parents (father or mother) is an employee or staff, as evidenced by a letter of appointment or employment from the institution. The parent(s) must have worked in this position for at least 5 years and was still active at the time of registration.
5. Sibling scholarship
Prospective students graduating from high school/vocational high school in 2022 who have siblings studying at UMN will get a 30% reduction in entry fees. The requirements needed to get this scholarship are:
- Have siblings who study at UMN
- Meets the general academic requirements
