Tangerang – UMN employees enlivened the Let’s Get To Know K3 (Yuk Kenali K3/YKK) Competition on February 8, 2023, to commemorate the 2023 National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) month held by the UMN OSH Unit.
UMN certainly does not miss to enliven the National OSH month, held every January to February each year. National OSH Month or commonly known as Occupational Safety and Health Month, is an activity that aims to guarantee and protect the safety and health of the entire workforce, especially for all teaching staff and employees who work in the UMN environment.
“At the university, even though HSE is not as strict as in the industry, we also enliven the National OSH month by organizing ‘Yuk Kenali K3L‘,” said Nur, the representative of UMN’s K3L Unit.
The YKK competition was filled with various exciting games that were still fun while adding insight to the employees about HSE. The first activity began with a preliminary round using Quizizz, continued with a Crossword game to find potential finalists, and ended with a final round of Quizzing.
In her remarks, Nur added that the YKK Competition aims to introduce and increase employees’ awareness about HSE so that employees can work per the HSE culture and create a safe, comfortable, and healthy campus.
The YKK competition was held for the first time this year and was attended by the teaching staff and all internal employees in UMN, “Currently, 23 teams have been registered. The participants are from 12 departments, 4 faculties, and 3 study programs, with each team consisting of two to three people,” Nur explained.
The competition was eventually won by a team from UMN’s IT department as the first winner, the HRD department as the second winner, the Global Office department as the third winner, and the Communications Faculty– Distance Learning program as the runner-up.

“Initially, we just wanted to have fun, but it got more competitive, so we showed our best, so winning second place is not bad,” Caca said, a player representing the HRD.
“In the future, because this is still a trial, it is still within the scope of employees. Our goal is that we can carry it out again, of course, with a larger scope and involving students,” Nur concluded.
