December 4, 2023Inauguration of UMN & PT Computrade Technology International Cooperation
December 5, 2023Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) is committed to fostering a safe, supportive campus by providing students with access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, anti-harassment measures, and extensive educational resources. Policies such as PPKS (Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence) and the Anti-Harassment Decree establish clear standards for behavior and support for students. These policies are further enhanced through information, reporting channels, and counseling services that empower students to make informed, safe choices regarding their health and relationships.
To ensure that students have access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information, UMN provides a variety of educational resources and training sessions on topics such as healthy relationships, personal boundaries, and safe sexual practices. Through workshops and digital content shared on @safespace.umn (the university’s official safe space Instagram page), UMN makes it easy for students to access important information and learn about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These resources help students gain a better understanding of consent, self-care, and respect for others, laying the groundwork for a responsible and supportive campus culture.
The PPKS program offers students multiple channels to report incidents of harassment or sexual violence in a safe and confidential manner. Reports can be submitted via WhatsApp, email, or in person, ensuring that students have easy access to help when needed. Dedicated staff handle each report sensitively, maintaining confidentiality while providing necessary guidance and support. UMN’s emphasis on accessible reporting ensures that students feel empowered to speak up without fear, knowing they will be supported throughout the process.
In addition to formal reporting, UMN offers professional counseling services for students seeking help with personal challenges related to health, relationships, or safety. These sessions can be booked online or in person, providing flexible options for students. UMN’s Konselor Sebaya (Peer Counselor) program also plays a vital role, with trained peer counselors offering a more informal, empathetic support system. This dual approach ensures that students have multiple options for seeking help, tailored to their comfort levels and needs.
Education remains at the heart of UMN’s strategy, with regular programs designed to raise awareness on healthy relationships and respect for personal boundaries. Students participate in interactive training sessions, discussions, and awareness campaigns, gaining insights into building respectful relationships and recognizing potential risks. Through these comprehensive information and education services, UMN reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful environment where students are empowered with the knowledge and resources they need for their well-being.
