Tangerang—UMN students from the Faculty of Business & Management visited Ecotouch on Tuesday (02/18/2025). On this occasion, they saw firsthand how textile scraps are recycled and processed into new goods.
EcoTouch is a company that recycles textile materials and turns leftover textile materials into new products, resulting in zero-waste products such as soundproofing, freeze bags, fabrics, and many more. This is one of EcoTouch’s steps to reduce waste from textiles and fast fashion.
This time, UMN students will visit to learn how to recycle textile waste and transform it into a product that answers problems in society. Of course, they will also explore sustainable business.
“EcoTouch has produced many products, including soundproofing, dining, and sustainable fashion. All products produced by EcoTouch are eco-friendly materials. We continue to innovate new things, and currently, we are developing products for house building,” Agnes Kiki, EcoTouch Brand Communication, said.
Kiki also added that all waste at Eco-Touch is managed as well as possible so that there is nothing left at all. EcoTouch has collaborated with many companies in Indonesia, including the fashion industry, the FnB industry, and many more.
On this occasion, EcoTouch invited UMN students to see the process directly and become involved in cutting textile waste. Students get to sort out decent textile waste and cut it to separate its types, such as buttons or zippers, with supervision and procedures from EcoTouch.

“I am happy to be able to visit EcoTouch. I gained a lot of new knowledge. I think that because of this activity, we can know how much textile waste is left, and many people give away their clothing waste even though it is still usable. With EcoTouch, we can help to reduce this waste, which I think is very good,” Rafi, one of the students who participated in this visit, said.
