UMN Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Schneider Electric

Faculty of Engineering and Informatics Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) and Schneider Electric established cooperation through the signing of a memorandum of understanding at UMN Campus, Serpong, Tuesday (26/7) by UMN Rector Ninok Leksono and Schneider Electric Indonesia Country President Riyanto Mashan.

On this occasion Ninok said this cooperation is highly appreciated because UMN does want to become a strong institution in the field of technology. “In response to this we will indeed add study programs that can support the creation of this. One of them is Electrical Engineering and Physical Engineering. Cooperation with Schneider is also a pride,” ninok explained.

Only that, Riyanto also said through this cooperation is expected to prepare students to plunge into the industrial world. “Industry and education must be link and match. So when working, students are not confused. One of the steps is to learn to use the basic equipment of the electronics industry while still studying at university and dig deeper into insights into global knowledge about the latest technological advances,” he said.

The cooperation that is established includes several things, namely the establishment of training centers, the provision of educational and training infrastructure, development and correction in the field of electronic technology, especially appropriate technology, and community service. (*)
