UMN Signs a MoU and MoA with Pradita University (Doc. UMN)

TANGERANG – Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN), together with Pradita University, signed an Understanding (MoU) on the Tridharma of Higher Education and also a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at the UMN campus Friday (15/07/22).

The signing of the MoU and MoA was attended by UMN and Pradita officials. UMN parties who attended: Dr. Ninok Leksono, (Rector), Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., (Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs), Prof. Dr. Muliawati G. Siswanto, M.Eng.Sc., (Vice Chancellor for Relations and Cooperation), Dr. Eng. Niki Prastomo, S.T., M.Sc., (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Informatics), Muhammad Cahya Mulya Daulay, S.Sn., M.Ds., (Dean of the Faculty of Art & Design), and Dr. Mohammad Annas, S.Tr.Par, M.M, CSCP, (Head of Management Studies Program).

Pradita representatives who attended were: Prof. Dr. Ir. Richardus Eko Indrajit, DBA., Dr(Pend), Dr(Han), M.Sc ,M.B.A, M.Si, MA, M.I.T, M.Phil, (Rector), Dr. Ir. Amelia Makmur, ST., MT (Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs), Dr. eng. Handri Santoso (Head of Informatics Study Program), Meyrani Siahaan, M. Pd. (Head of Cooperation Unit), Johann Prawiro, M. Sc. (MBKM coordinator for student mobility & student exchange), and Aida Halim (Secretary of the Foundation).

Ninok hopes the same for every collaboration carried out by UMN. “Collaboration and partnerships. The MoU signature doesn’t just stop on paper; it must also has a form so that we can meet often, and the partnerships don’t stop in words. Don’t just symbolize geographical proximity, but let’s stick it together and find other things we can do together,” Ninok said.

Nostalgic, Ninok, and the Chancellor of Pradita, Richardus, are old friends. Richardus shared that 15 years ago, on 17 December 2007, he was interviewed by Ninok at Ratu Plaza to be published in Kompas. He said that the interview changed his life and was one of the reasons why he became Chancellor of Pradita.

“That’s why when I found out that Pradita was next to UMN, it seemed that there was a message from above. That we are given a task for this country that we love so much,” Richardus said.

This signing is the development and inauguration of the collaboration following up on the Talent Scouting Academy (TSA) program, which was held together with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology on Thursday (13/06/22). The TSA program is one of the independent forms of the Independent Learning-Independent Campus program at UMN. The training was attended by around 23 UMN students and 32 Pradita University students who learned about Data Science.

“It makes me really happy. Usually, MoU will be signed before working together, but this time we worked together before signing the MoU,” Richardus said with a laugh.

Ninok believes that UMN can learn much from Pradita University and hopes that UMN can also visit the Pradita campus soon. “I believe he has extraordinary skills. UMN can learn much because he is active in the teachers’ association. Anyway, we shall take good care of this long-standing friendship so that it will last forever,” Ninok said.
