July 28, 2021Tangerang – In August 2020, the Directorate General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology announced the clustering of universities. From the clustering, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara was included in the top seven best private universities in Jakarta and achieved 12th out of 97 universities in cluster three.
The assessment is carried out by measuring the performance of universities identified based on four main aspects, namely: the quality of human resources and students (input), institutional management of universities (process), short-term performance achievements achieved by universities (output), and long-term performance achievements of universities (outcome).
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., said that the achievement of this ranking is an important indicator for UMN, which has the vision of becoming a world-class university.
“Plans are made for UMN to continue to improve the quality of the graduates produced, then increase the network of cooperation with other institutions abroad to open up opportunities for foreign students to study at UMN, and seek international recognition that confirms UMN as a world-class university,” Friska said, explaining UMN’s efforts.
UMN’s achievements at a fairly young age cannot be separated from the role of close cooperation between departments in UMN. Starting from academic to non-academic departments, all support the ranking indicators, namely input, process, output, and outcome.

“Our next year’s target is to improve the quality and performance of UMN as a whole so that it can increase UMN’s ranking at the national and international levels. Currently, UMN is preparing various things, one of which is preparing study programs for international accreditation,” Friska said when asked about future achievement targets.
Friska hopes that by achieving this target, UMN students and prospective students can graduate from UMN with strong competitiveness. Global recognition of the quality of UMN education will be an asset for graduates competing in the job arena with graduates of other universities worldwide.
“Certainly, this achievement is due to the efforts and support of the entire UMN academic community as well as the trust of the community and government. Hopefully, in the future, UMN will be more advanced and developed at the national and international level,” Friska concluded.
