Tangerang—On Friday (02/08), UMN signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shinewing Indonesia. This inauguration will expand UMN’s recruitment cooperation with the company and continue other cooperation discussions.
Representatives from each party attended the collaboration between UMN and Shinewing Indonesia. They were Michell Suharli, CEO of Shinewing Indonesia, Shinewing Indonesia representatives, Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs of UMN, and lecturer representatives from each UMN Faculty.
This collaboration aims to strengthen the recruitment relationship between UMN and Shinewing Indonesia for internships and full-time positions. In addition to recruitment cooperation, Shinewing Indonesia can participate in activities at UMN such as guest lectures, sponsorship, etc.
“I am proud to be able to work with Shinewing Indonesia because our current goal is internationalization. So, I hope multinational companies will accept UMN graduates. We can also provide briefings in advance for students so that they know and are ready to enter the world of work in multinational companies,” Ika said.
Ika hopes this collaboration will lead to a closer and more direct relationship with Shinewing Indonesia and that Shinewing Indonesia can be involved in career events at UMN.
“We can provide training for students interested in joining Shinewing Indonesia so we can also know what skills are needed. This is so that students are prepared not only in terms of academics but also in terms of soft skills such as leadership or teamwork,” Ika continued.
Shinewing Indonesia is a multinational company engaged in accounting, but Michell said there is much that can be collaborated with UMN.
“I am happy to be trusted by UMN to collaborate because, in my opinion, UMN has provided a good and correct education for students, seeing its speedy development, so we want to provide the correct profession to students as well,” Michell said.
Michell feels that this collaboration is important because many UMN graduates are involved in Shinewing Indonesia and have become its supporters. Michell also agrees that non-academic skills are no less important than academic ones.
“There are two important points of internationalization and relevance. The first point is internationalization, as we currently also have goals to become a world organization. The second point is relevance, as UMN is very relevant to current movements such as Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Sustainability; Shinewing Indonesia relates to this,” Michell concluded.
