Tangerang – On (09/01/2025), UMN’s Faculty of Communication Sciences held the culmination of the National Communication Jamboree (Jambore Nasional Komunikasi /JNK) together with the Association of Higher Education in Communication Sciences (Asosiasi Pendidikan Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi/ASPIKOM) in the Greater Jakarta Area. In addition to being the closing of the National Communication Jamboree, it also announced the winners of the competitions the participants had participated in.
The Association of Higher Education in Communication Science is an association of higher education managers in communication science in Indonesia, which has been followed by various study programs and faculties in Indonesia since 2007.
“This activity has been held since May 2024, and today is the peak. In the competition, there are already 350 works that must be assessed from 13 category competitions. This achievement cannot be made without active participants and the jury’s involvement,” said Rizky Cendera Anugrah Bangun, M.Si., the Head of UMN’s Communication Science Study Program.
Rizky hopes this activity can provide benefits and new experiences for the participants and the jury.
“This year, we successfully held the fourth JNK. The participants are creative, and this activity can be a place for us to express our work. I hope it can be continuous and better in the future,” said Dr. Rini Sudarmanti, Chairperson of the ASPIKOM Event.
ASPIKOM activities are not merely competitions to be followed by students and lecturers but also an increase in higher education institutions in Communication Sciences and building and expanding the communication network between Communication Science study programs.
“Of course, the collaboration between Aspikom and UMN is a good thing because there are so many unique competitions and even competitions for lecturers in this program. All those involved in this activity are extraordinary. I think the topics presented by JNK are interesting, especially regarding sustainability, especially in Communication Science,” Prof. Friska Natalia S.Kom., M.T., UMN’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, said.
Prof. Friska hopes that the Jamboree National Communication Korwil JABODETABEK competition can be a forum for communication science lecturers to share knowledge and knowledge, both theoretically and in discussion.
