September 19, 2022Tangerang – Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) held a tax workshop for the Indonesian Cyber Media Network (Jaringan Media Siber Indonesia/JMSI) Banten. This workshop discusses explicitly filling out the Annual Income Tax Return for Corporate Taxpayers. Held with the UMN Research and Community Service Institute (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat/LPPM), this workshop also presented UMN Accounting lecturers as presenters on Tuesday (14/6/2022).
“Annually, we from JMSI Banten have difficulty reporting taxes. We would usually look for a consultant to settle the taxes. This time we want to learn and ask UMN for help,” Subur from Serpong Update said when he came to UMN to explain his purpose.
JMSI is a forum for the association of online media owners. JMSI Banten was previously inaugurated, and its management was appointed at UMN. From there, JMSI often collaborated with UMN for various events.
“UMN Accounting, yearly through the Tax Center, opens a consultation service for anyone who wants to settle their taxpayers. It doesn’t have to be someone from UMN but the public can also use it. Later there will be a team consisting of lecturers and students who are ready to assist,” said Stephanus Ariyanto, Head of the Accounting Study Program at UMN, who is also the coordinator of the speakers in this workshop.
The workshop started from 10.00 to 16.00 in the computer laboratory of UMN, room B 501. A total of 40 participants from various media attended this agenda. Participants are only asked to bring their respective media financial records and will later be given knowledge about how to report taxes.
Before the start of the event, a work contract signing ceremony was held between JMSI Banten and LPPM UMN. This contract will later become a joint commitment for various collaborations that can continue to be explored, especially for community service agendas, especially in the Banten area.
“We are pleased to be given this training. It is hoped that we will be able to independently report taxes without any difficulties and no longer need to call a consultant. We are aware that taxes is one of the important things in our business,” Subur said, closing the event.
