Tangerang, February 7, 2024 – Representatives of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) and Harapan Bangsa Education Foundation signed an MoU containing a cooperation agreement for an educational partnership program. This program is carried out by providing training and mentoring and developing human resources.
Improving one’s quality is essential and needed by all individuals. This also applies specifically to teachers, who have an important role as an introduction in the education process for future generations.
UMN, in collaboration with the Harapan Bangsa Education Foundation, has initiated a training program to improve the competence of Harapan Bangsa School teachers and staff. It is estimated that several teachers and staff will join this program. The main objective of this training program is to broaden knowledge, deepen skills, and train interpersonal skills for teachers and staff to provide better educational services to students.
To support these efforts, UMN has prepared several mentors who are experts in their fields and other quality resources. The selected mentors have relevant expertise and extensive experience in education, ready to provide the guidance and support the teachers need. In addition, UMN also provides other resources such as training materials, software, and other supporting facilities to ensure that teachers can develop themselves to the fullest in this program.
“There will be lecturers as well as upper-level students who are prepared to provide materials for the trainees,” said UMN’s CED Manager, Johannes T. Boro.

This collaboration not only provides training to teachers and staff but also opens up new opportunities for Sekolah Harapan Bangsa students who are interested in continuing their education to the university level at UMN. The program allows students in grade 12 to take the scholarship test, with the opportunity to get a bachelor’s or master’s degree at UMN.
“Our hope is that UMN will become more recognized by students and teachers, and in turn, more SHB alumni will enter UMN,” Boro concluded.
This collaboration clearly shows UMN’s commitment to positively contributing to the surrounding environment. By holding training programs for teachers and staff of Sekolah Harapan Bangsa and providing opportunities for students to get scholarships, UMN focuses not only on academic development and professionalism but also on community empowerment and educational development in the surrounding area.
