According to him, deepfakes are not a big problem, but it cannot be ignored because it can become a big problem. In addition to the problem of deepfakes, this seminar discussed disinformation. As we know, in Indonesia itself, there are a lot of hoaxes that spread quickly, and the community itself still needs more education about hoaxes. This is also a problem in Indonesia.
“In Indonesia, hoaxes can be escalated 4 – 5 times, making it difficult for people to believe and creating arguments in the society,” Septiaji said.
According to him, disinformation can divide the community because words, videos, and photos can be changed and deceive the community. This seminar provides much information about the challenges that exist and occur today so that we can wisely use existing technology facilities.
