February 3, 2025Welcoming Jack Wu to UMN and discussing cooperation (Doc. UMN)
Tangerang – UMN recently discussed cooperation opportunities with National Chengchi University (NCCU) on (21/01/2025). The discussion was attended by Professor Jack Wu from NCCU’s Department of Public Finance and UMN officials.
National Chengchi University (NCCU) is a university in Taiwan. Established in 1962, NCCU has 12 study programs and various world-ranking achievements. On this occasion, UMN had the opportunity to collaborate with NCCU for both undergraduate and master’s programs.
“We can integrate many programs with UMN, and we are open to both undergraduate and master’s students. For me, many things can be cooperated with UMN such as short programs for students, students can study for one week at NCCU, open internships for students, and many more,” Jack said.
Not only students, Jack also opens opportunities for lecturers to take online and cooperative courses with other international universities.
“Of course we can cooperate on many things, especially engineering or about artificial intelligence, in Taiwan itself now many are looking for engineering. Besides that, we can do research together with students,” Jack continued.
As the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Friska Natalia S.Kom, M.T., Ph.D., considers this collaboration opportunity fantastic. Friska welcomes undergraduate student exchanges and collaborative learning with NCCU.
“Currently, we want to increase short course programs for students at UMN, so this collaboration opportunity is very good for UMN. In the future, maybe we can do an MoU together with NCCU to formalize this collaboration. Regarding the need for engineers in Taiwan, we are very open to participating in job fairs and sending students there,” said Friska.
UMN has conducted various student mobility programs with international universities. These programs can be an opportunity for student exchange between UMN and NCCU so that students can learn more in Taiwan and vice versa.
