UMN collaborates with South Korean Universities in the implementation of LINC 3.0

TANGERANG – On Friday, January 6, 2022, UMN was visited by four universities from South Korea to discuss and establish cooperation between universities and industry in the context of implementing LINC 3.0. The four universities are Silla University, Dongeui University, Dongseo University, and Tongmyong University.

LINC 3.0, or “Leaders in Industry-University Cooperation Phase 3,” is a project funded by the South Korean Ministry of Education. The activities carried out from this LINC 3.0 cooperation include collaboration between the industrial world and universities regarding project development or joint research. This activity also provides opportunities for UMN, Silla, Dongeui, Dongseo, and Tongmyong students and lecturers to conduct student exchanges regarding Industry-University collaboration.

This is in line with what Dr. Bom-Jin Lee, Head of LINC 3.0 from Silla University, said, “In the future, I hope UMN students and South Korean students can work together both offline and online and visit each other to create new ideas and innovations,” Lee said.

Later, this collaboration will be carried out for five years from the signing of the MoU as stated by Prof. Dr. Muliawati Siswanto, M.Eng.Sc as Vice Rector IV for Relations and Cooperation, “Later, the collaboration that UMN and LINC 3.0 will carry out will run for five years,” Muliawati said.

In line with what was conveyed by the Head of LINC 3.0, Dr. Bom-Jin Lee, Muliawati also expressed her hopes for this collaboration, “Hopefully, we can work together in terms of relations and cooperation in industrial education as well as exchanging lecturers and students to possibly collaborate in practicum, internships, and global recruitment,” concluded Muliawati.
