Tangerang – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) and Scuto held a meeting to discuss student program cooperation. The discussion between the two parties resulted in an agreement that allows UMN students to be directly involved in the industrial world through recruitment programs organized by Scuto.
As a university that always pays attention to the quality of its students, UMN seeks to pave the way for students to experience the industrial world more realistically. One of the strategies carried out by UMN is collaborating with various companies.
On this occasion, UMN collaborated with Scuto, a company engaged in vehicle coating services. In UMN’s Alor room, Scuto representatives who attended this meeting were Muhadi Iskandar as Head of Academy, Lucya Christina as Head of Human Resources, Inro Pasaribu as HRGA & Legal, and Cepin as an Auditor.
In addition, UMN was attended by Ika Yanuarti as Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Elfira Fitri Wahyono as Manager of External Student Affairs, and the Deans of the Faculties. The two institutions inaugurated the cooperation in the form of signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU), which was then followed by a discussion regarding the course of collaboration.
“As an educational institution, we are encouraged to continue working with companies to create student absorption in the industrial world, so we collaborate with competent companies,” said Ika. She said that through this cooperation, Scuto is welcome to participate in various student recruitment activities at UMN, such as career day, campus fairs, and seminars.
According to Ika, this kind of cooperation also provides an opportunity for the campus to explore and receive feedback from companies about students who do internships or work at the company. With the feedback provided by the company, the campus can maintain and improve the competence of its students.
Scuto is currently expanding and developing its business, so the company, which was established in 2014, wants to recruit skilled human resources, one of which comes from students.
“UMN is the first university that Scuto wants to collaborate with. We see that this university has good quality, especially since UMN is under the ownership of Kompas,” Muhadi said.
The collaboration between UMN and Scuto focuses on preparing students to become permanent employees or interns. This opportunity is open to various majors, which include engineering, visual & design, marketing, and others that align with the company’s development.
“We hope that the collaboration between UMN and Scuto can expose the work field to students in all study programs because Scuto needs a lot of human resources in many sectors,” Muhadi concluded.
