Tangerang, February 28, 2024 – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has officially partnered with PT Esco Bintan Indonesia, focusing on a student recruitment program to join the multinational company. The meeting included signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) represented by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Ika Yanuarti, reinforcing the commitment of both parties to developing student potential through close collaboration.
UMN upholds its commitment to providing its students with opportunities to pursue their desired experiences and careers. To achieve this goal, UMN continues to build strong relationships with various companies. This allows students to engage in multiple experiences and expand their professional network.
Held in the Alor room of UMN’s building A, the meeting between UMN and PT Esco Bintan became an important momentum in carrying out discussions and signing collaborations. This collaboration focuses on student programs that provide opportunities for UMN students. With this collaboration, the door is wide open for students to actively participate in various activities and experiences at the multinational company PT Esco Bintan.
“This collaboration is a student program where students have the opportunity to take part in working at Esco as interns or permanent employees after graduation,” said Esco Utama’s country manager, Theresia Wibisono.
PT Esco Bintan is a manufacturing, research, and customer service company. These fields reflect the suitability of Informatics Engineering and Visual Communication Design majors. Information technology and graphic design are essential in the manufacturing sector to ensure efficiency and product quality.
Meanwhile, in research, knowledge in informatics engineering can be used to analyze data and develop innovative solutions, while visual communication design helps present research findings effectively. On the customer service side, expertise in information technology supports the implementation of quality information systems, while visual communication design can strengthen brand identity and customer communication.
“Of course, from the company side, we want students who are skilled enough to work and we believe UMN lecturers are able to provide the best training to students,” Theresia continued.
Previously, several students have participated in an internship program at PT Esco, including Nathan, an alumnus of Visual Communication Design from UMN. Nathan’s success in undergoing the internship was proven by his being recruited as a permanent employee at the company.
In line with Theresia, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Ika Yanuarti also expressed her hope. She hopes this collaboration can be implemented soon to help students achieve their desired careers.
“We always try to prepare our students to be able to graduate with adequate provisions, so that in the future the competencies they have can meet the needs of the industry,” Ika said.
