Tangerang – On (10/12/2024), the Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) officially collaborated with Dennis Gabor University, Hungary, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU is intended to expand UMN’s cooperation with international campuses.
“Our campus currently has two focuses, namely conducting research on students for the future and looking for learning models that are suitable for students and children to create a new curriculum,” Dr. Laszlo Szabo, Director at Resources Dennis Gabor University, Hungary, said.
Laszlo said that the latest curriculum that DGU, Hungary, wants to develop is programming learning, which is expected to be useful for students. Laszlo welcomes UMN to join DGU to make this learning.
“The second point is that we are also open if UMN wants to do a student exchange, and this student exchange can be done remotely or onsite. I believe this opportunity is very good for UMN master students,” Laszlo continued.
This collaboration will involve UMN’s Master of Technology Management. UMN hopes that this collaboration will increase the number of student exchanges for UMN master students.
“Apart from increasing the number of student exchanges, we also want to increase the number of UMN research and publications. We want to do a joint research between UMN and DGU, Hungary, and later these researches will be published on Scopus,” Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., UMN Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, said.
Dr. Prio Utomo, S.T., M.P.C., the Head of the UMN Master of Technology Management Study Program, also supports the collaboration between UMN and DGU, Hungary, because it is in line with the Master of Technology Management’s goal to continuously update the curriculum.
“We want to explore new things as soon as possible for curriculum renewal because learning in our Master of Technology Management does not only focus on the use of technology, but we also want to study existing tools and technologies for sustainability,” Prio said.
The cooperation between UMN and DGU, Hungary, will be carried out as soon as January 2025 and does not rule out the possibility of expanding cooperation with other faculties in UMN.
