TANGERANG – Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) and Multimedia Nusantara Polytechnic (MNP) are collaborating with Brown Bag Films Bali in the field of recruitment, facilitated by UMN CDC. This collaboration provides facilities for UMN and MNP students to intern at Brown Bag Films Bali, which focuses on animation. A seminar and sharing session about animation was also held at UMN’s Student Lounge (SL) on Thursday (16/3/2023).
This activity is a form of implementation of recruitment cooperation between educational institutions and industry partners. In addition to recruitment, this collaboration in the future can also help develop the curriculum of the study program.
Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design Muhammad Cahya Mulya Daulay, S.Sn., M.Ds., assessed that the campus cannot be separated from the industry. So, what is learned and prepared in the curriculum certainly departs from what happens in the industry.
“In addition, if our alumni also work at Brown Bag Film, it also becomes an input for us. The experience gained on campus, and the experience in the industry becomes an input and follow-up curriculum in the future,” Cahya said.

The event was also attended by the Head of MNP’s Digital Animation Study Program, Yohanes Merci Widiastomo, S.Sn., M.M.. Yohanes explained that MNP’s collaboration with Brown Bag Films Bali had been established last semester to provide animation workshops and help when MNP was just established.
Yohanes said this opportunity is precious for UMN and MNP students to gain experience and stories from industry colleagues. It is also an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the world of work and the animation industry.
This cooperation has been established between the three parties for a long time and is carried out again to advance the world of animation regarding graduate readiness jointly.
“It is a proudful thing for us to be able to come back here again and do another collaboration, which hopefully will continue. As well as more human resources, especially in the animation industry, and more quality with this collaboration,” said Brown Bag Films Bali Operational Manager Anintyas Wening Ambarwaty, S.E., MBA.
