TANGERANG – To accelerate and increase the potential of human resources in the hospitality industry, the Hospitality Study Program of Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) with Liberta Hotel International (LHI) collaborated with the MoU. This collaboration is carried out to guide and assist the next generation of the world of tourism through the Liberta Goes to Campus program supported by LSP Maestro Indonesia. This event is conducted offline in the UMN Hospitality Lab, Building D, on Monday (26/9/2022).
In the Sharing Session program, LHI provides opportunities for UMN Hospitality study program students to enter the world of work through internship programs in all properties managed by LHI.
Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F., CSA., the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, assessed that this excellent opportunity could be utilized as well as possible by UMN Hospitality students because this opportunity can provide a chance to gain knowledge and seek experience at the Liberta Hotel.
“You (students) in UMN Hospitality have an internship opportunity at one of the leading hotels in Indonesia,” she continued.
Currently, the UMN Hospitality Study Program is preparing various forms of collaboration with industries for curriculum development and readiness to face the needs of the tourism industry, especially in the hospitality world.
“The hope, of course, is that our study program can be even more advanced and produce talents in tourism that can benefit the industry in general,” Oqke Prawira, SST.Par, M.Si.Par., Head of UMN Hospitality Study Program, said.
This collaboration program is committed to creating a team that produces professionals ready to work in the hospitality world, can survive in all conditions, become professionals, and be an asset to the tourism industry.
The CEO of Liberta Hotel Internasional, Niken Prawesti, hopes this sharing session program can be an ongoing activity and become one of LHI’s commitments to hold an MoU with UMN.
“So that together, we can produce individuals who are professional in their fields, skilled, and can also create a tourism ecosystem, especially in the world of hospitality that is sustainable and resilient in all kinds of conditions that we experience,” he continued.
The MoU signing was followed by a talk show delivered by Niken Prawesti, the CEO of Liberta Hotel Internasional, Dodi Wijayanto, the GM of Amarta Hills Hotel and Resort Batu Malang, and Yumi Akbar, the Director of Maestro Indonesia.
