February 9, 2023Cool! UMN Receives Appreciation from Bank Indonesia as the Best Central Banking Partner University
February 14, 2023Tangerang – At UMN, water management is a key component of our sustainability efforts. Each month, we closely monitor our water consumption and recycling efforts to align with responsible resource management goals. This careful tracking helps us use water efficiently, ensuring that our campus remains both operational and eco-friendly.
In 2023, UMN used a total of 43,746 cubic meters (M³) of water, a necessity to support daily campus activities. Impressively, we recycled and reused 19,593 cubic meters (M³) of this amount, which is nearly 45% of our total consumption. This recycled water is allocated to various essential functions around campus, including restroom flushing, sprinkler systems, and the AC cooling systems. By reusing water for these needs, we significantly reduce our dependency on fresh water sources, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.
Recycling almost half of our water consumption is a major step toward reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices throughout our campus. As we continue to improve our water management systems, UMN is not only lowering its resource footprint but also setting an example for responsible water use in educational institutions. Through these efforts, we’re paving the way for a greener future, supporting both campus efficiency and environmental health.
