Chairman of Multimedia Nusantara Foundation Teddy Surianto said that U-MART is an additional facility that is expected to further complement existing facilities.
“U-MART we hope to be a means of supporting the needs of lecturers, staff and UMN students who further complement existing facilities. I thank all those who have supported the realization of this facility,” Teddy said when giving a speech at the Lobby of New Media Tower UMN on Monday (12/2).
Located in the Lobby New Media Tower UMN, U-MART comes thanks to UMN’s cooperation with Libro Group and Lotte Mart. Libro Group represented by Alvino Rusli explained that the increasingly high need for students encourages them to provide minimarket facilities.
“As students’ needs are higher for food, medicine and other needs, it encourages us Libro Group to provide such facilities without students having to look for them off campus,” Alvino explained.
“We chose to work with Lotte Mart or Lotte Wholesale because the prices of necessities sold by Lotte are much cheaper, so when we sell to students can reduce prices,” he continued.
U-MART provides daily necessities or household needs, ranging from food and soft drinks, oil, sugar, soap, medicines, and others at affordable prices.
In addition to selling products of daily needs in general, U-MART also provides a place for UMN students to sell. To that end, U-MART cooperates with U-Store to sell UMN merchandise such as T-shirts, pins, strap holders, and others.
U-MART operates monday to Saturday from 08.00 to 17.00 (following the lecture schedule). In addition to affordable prices, U-MART also provides promotions for certain items periodically, so students can buy these needs at a cheaper price with other minimarkets. Come on, shop at U-MART! (*/CRA)
