TANGERANG – Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) awarded a Master of Communication Science (Magister Ilmu Komunikasi/MIK) scholarship to Puteri Persahabatan Winner and Runner Up 3 Puteri Indonesia 2023, Christine Priscilla. This scholarship is a collaboration between UMN, the Puteri Indonesia Foundation, and Mustika Ratu. The scholarship handover was carried out on the UMN campus and attended by the UMN Rector, the rectorate, and representatives of the Puteri Indonesia Foundation on Tuesday (20/6/2023).
UMN Rector Ninok Leksono said that the Puteri Persahabatan that Christine bears is the same as Caring, one of the 5C points at Kompas Gramedia.
“Even though her colleagues are competitors in the Puteri Indonesia event, Christine still cares about them,” said Ninok.
Ninok added that the major Christine chose to continue her master’s degree is needed to support the needs in Christine’s current field as Puteri Indonesia Persahabatan and in the future.
According to the Coordinator of Cooperation and Scholarship of Puteri Indonesia Foundation, Roy Darmawan, Christine is considered very suitable to get the title of Puteri Indonesia Persahabatan. Christine was very caring and outgoing towards fellow Puteris during the Puteri Indonesia competition. And the selection of Puteri Persahabatan is chosen and assessed by her friends.

Christine is very grateful to become Puteri Indonesia Persahabatan and Runner Up 3 because this is her dream as a regional child, and she gets the opportunity to get a Master’s scholarship at MIK UMN.
“With all my shortcomings, I believe I have an advantage where I can step foot in Puteri Indonesia and get a scholarship from UMN. Where the stories from my friends and relatives about UMN are extraordinary sportsmanship and family-like,” she said.
Christine talked about the assessment as Puteri Persahabatan. Before going on stage, the committee gave a paper to write about who deserved to be Puteri Persahabatan. Until her name was mentioned, she was still surprised that her name was chosen. So, after the event, she asked the crew and Puteris, and it turned out that small things became their assessment criteria.
“It turns out that tidying up the clothes of the Princess of Bali, tidying up the hair of the Princess of DKI Jakarta 1, who was a little messy, and delivering delicious food directly to the chef, which the Princess of NTB saw, and NTT grabbed the Puteris’ attentions,” said Christine.

Puteri Persahabatan, who understands sign language, wants to become a beautiful and intelligent woman and a sign language activist.
“I am a certified sign language activist. It started when I was in undergraduate school and met a deaf friend on public transportation who was humiliated by people there when my friend talked in sign language. From there, I want to care about deaf friends and empower sign language,” Christine explained.
Christine hopes that with the title “Puteri Persahabatan,” she is not only friendly with individuals but also friendly with communication.
