November 2, 2021TANGERANG – Ultigraph UMN 2021 closed its series of events through an online Awarding Night on Monday night (01/11/21). In this Awarding Night, Ultigraph UMN 2021 announced the winners of several categories of competitions that have been held since last September 2021. The enthusiasm of the participants of the competition, which numbered more than 2,500 participants on a global scale, also implies the success of Ultigraph UMN 2021 in holding its event in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Ultigraph is an international design festival event. Since 2019, this event has entered the international level. Of course, we try as far as possible to make this UMN a pride for all of us, not only nationally and internationally. This year, I see that there are about eight countries participating,” said Mohammad Rizaldi as the Head of the UMN Visual Communication Design Study Program.
The eight countries referred to by Rizaldi, among others, are Indonesia, the United States, Malaysia, Poland, Switzerland, Taiwan, China, and Singapore. In accordance with the theme “Kara Anagata” which means the light of the future, Rizaldi hopes that this series of Ultigraph UMN 2021 events can make the art of design something that has an impact on society in the future.
In line with that, Muhammad Cahya Mulya Daulay as Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design UMN hopes that the 2021 UMN Ultigraph can encourage us to design designs that are efficient, especially during this pandemic. He is also proud of the success of Ultigraph UMN 2021 which has become a forum for collaboration and appreciation of various designs on a national and international scale.
The following is a list of winners from various categories of competitions held by Ultigraph UMN 2021. Winners of the “Poster Design” category, including “Woman at Point Zero” by Ardi Chandra, “Pen” by Khei Raeheza Yusuf, and “White Black ” by Jeremy Irsan. Winners of the “Font Design” category, including “The Beauty of Ayam Popo” by Syndi Subhekti, “Nino” by Jason, “Palurua” by Winnie. Winners of the “Innovative Packaging” category, including “No Tree Left Behind” by Lalita Euginia and Laurentia Claire, “Less Mess, More Fun” by Lucya Adventa, and “Plantbase” by Elvita Chitania. Winners of the “Logo Design” category, including “Sare Pawe” by Theresia Livia Lay, “Loka” by Michell Lorenza, and “Oemah Kopi Menoreh” by Ikwan Nurcahya. Winners of the “Photography” category, including “Warmth and Tranquility” by Adinugraha Pradjnamurti Aslim, “What the Space Holds” and “Transporting in Time” by Antonius Aloysius. The winners of the “Commercial Video” category included “Cimory Yogurt Squeeze” by Derryn Hermanus, “Snackiez.Bdg” by Samuel Jonas, and “Aqua Reflections” by Beatrix Lee. Winners of the “Apps Design” category, including “Ma-Em Apps” by Michaela Antonia Dermawan, “Book Academy” by Angelina Nataly Dhian and Wilson Wibowo, “Tutory” by Regina Kanani and Cassie Michelle.

Reported from Instagram @ultigraph, Ultigraph is the largest graphic design festival organized by students under the auspices of the UMN Visual Communication Design Study Program. This year, Ultigraph UMN 2021 carries the theme “Kara Anagata” with the hope of updating the mindset of graphic designers towards a design so that it can have an impact on society.
