October 26, 2021TANGERANG – Skystar Ventures UMN again held a virtual “Demo Day Batch” which was attended by six selected startup teams from UMN students on Friday afternoon (10/22/21). This activity is the final series of Skystar Ventures UMN incubation program that has been going on for 6 months. Previously, these six teams have been selected from a total of 62 teams that enrolled in this incubation program. The selection stage also consists of interviews, bootcamps, incubation programs, to post incubation.
In this program, six selected startup teams had the opportunity to present the development of their business ideas to panelists – Director of Digital Investment and Incubation Digital Hub Sinarmas Land, Bayu Seto and Head of StartupIndonesia.co, Erwin Arifin. In addition, they are also given advice by panelists for the development of business ideas. Overall, Bayu views the binsis ideas offered by these six incubation teams as unique and interesting. Similarly, Erwin also revealed that the business ideas presented are very relevant to the needs of today’s society.
“Just do and execute, to know which works, which ones don’t,” Erwin said.
The six startup teams consist of Cooking Media, a social learning-based app for sharing recipes; Jack, a point of sales (POS) application designed specifically for the workshop business; Library of Things, a good sharing platform to empower the concept of a circular economy in Indonesia and create a culture of sharing; Pencil, Crypto portfolio listing application in Indonesia; Tuhiro, an interior design service with a variety of themes that can be tailored to customer demand; wannaBeStart, a digital agency engaged in web development, especially UI/UX design and Mobile Development.
In general, these six startup teams focus on the technology sector, especially in the fields of Information Technology (IT), Creative, Digital and Media. Vice Rector for Field II umn, Andrey Andoko revealed the realization of technology-based business ideas through the support of Skystar Ventures UMN is indeed in accordance with umn’s vision. He hopes this business idea does not stop at the idea stage. However, it also continues and grows into a startup that can have an impact on society.

“The involvement of students in Skystar Ventures incubation program is something special because you are already involved in realizing UMN’s vision to make entrepreneurs, especially in the field of technology or technopreneurs who can later contribute to the progress of the nation,” said Andrey.
For information, Skystar Ventures UMN has also reopened the registration of the 9th batch incubation program in October 2021-January 2022. In this incubation program, Skystar Ventures UMN will help and assist UMN students and alumni to develop and realize their business ideas.
