Tangerang – (On 02/15/2024), PPAr (Architecture Professional Education Program/Program Pendidikan Profesi Arsitektur) UMN has just held an Open House. This time, PPAr UMN’s Open House is different from before. It will carry the clinic concept so that students can directly ask and answer questions with experts.
PPar Clinic UMN is an open house program held by PPar UMN. This PPAr clinic was attended by Ar. Suwardana Winata, M.Arch., IAI., as Deputy for Architectural Education Affairs of the National IAI. On this occasion, Suwardana had the opportunity to coach PPAr Clinic participants on EPA-RM.
“EPA-PM is divided into two. EPA is an architectural education equation that is the content of a person’s work experience. While Internship Recognition is different between internships here and those done on campus, internships on campus are work practices that differ from your internships at PPAr. That’s what will be considered,” Suwardana said.
Suwardana also added that an architect graduate cannot immediately enter the workforce and cannot immediately practice because many things are unknown. For Suwardana, there are many things that need to be learned as an architect, so internships and architect exams are needed until one is declared an architect.
“So an architect must commit and be willing to continue learning. I am still learning until now. You must be willing to commit to continue learning and not give up easily,” said Suwardana.
The PPAr Clinic is equipped with personal discussions attended by participants and Suwardana. In this session, participants can ask questions face-to-face and get more information about PPAr and what is needed to follow the PPAr program.
“Many facilities will be provided to PPAr students, such as a studio open 24 hours so students can work on their projects at any time. It is also possible that students need to stay overnight,” said Irma, head of the PPAr Study Program.
In addition to the studio, Irma also explained several other labs, namely the computer lab and the material lab. Irma hopes that holding the PPAr clinic can help students who want to join and learn more about PPAr studies at UMN. Read more about PPAr UMN here.
Those who want to hone and run an architecture program should immediately register and join PPAr UMN via contact person at 081282183889.
