October 26, 2018“This achievement is proud. As umn’s commitment to build an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient campus, gained recognition. In following this award (Subroto Award 2018), there is no special preparation that UMN does, except in the operation of maintenance and supervision of the use of electrical energy, “said Andrey.
Andrey added, the building that was only inaugurated in September last year can still be improved in some aspects, in order to get an even better rating in the next year.
“UMN can still improve aspects that are still lacking from this building in order to be included (in the competition) next year and get an even better ranking,” added Andrey.
The award for PK Ojong–Jakob Oetama Building this year also adds to the list of achievements that UMN has achieved in building an energy-efficient building, which was previously held by New Media Tower. In terms of concept, pk Ojong–Jakob Oetama building is deliberately designed similar to new media tower.

“Every time we build a building we actually see our needs going forward. As in the New Media Tower, the roof we use as a business incubator. Meanwhile, in this building (PK OJong-Jakob Oetama) we use the roof as a sports field,” sudarman explained.
The utilization of the roof of the PK OJong-Jakob Oetama building into a sports field aims to provide comfort for students to exercise, without having bad weather constraints.
Furthermore, Sudarman claimed that the award achieved by UMN was a pride for him.
“This award (Subroto Award 2018) is a pride for UMN students and for ourselves,” sudarman concluded.
