TANGERANG – In the framework of the Student Mobility Program, UMN warmly welcomed the arrival of Universiti Malaysia Pahang students (30/7/23).
The Student Mobility Program is a program that facilitates students to visit various universities, both at home and abroad. In addition to academic activities, the Student Mobility Program also aims to learn about each other’s cultures.
Boby Arinto, UMN’s Global Office Manager, expressed his warm welcome to Muhammad Amir’s arrival. Amir is a third-year student from Universiti Malaysia Pahang.
“The Rectorate, Deans, and Lecturers certainly warmly welcomed Amir’s arrival to UMN at the Welcoming Ceremony. In addition, Amir is also accompanied by buddies from the Faculty of Informatics Engineering UMN,” Boby said.
Boby revealed that this Student Mobility Program activity was filled with various exciting activities from when Amir arrived on July 30, 2023, until his return on August 5, 2023. Amir, accompanied by his buddies from the Faculty of Informatics Engineering UMN, Feivel and Tio, participated in several workshops and learned the Indonesian language and culture.
“There are various activities, starting from learning Indonesian, then there are courses related to Digital Transformation and Entrepreneurship. There were also industry visits, such as to PIDI 4.0 (Indonesian Digital Industry Center) managed by the Ministry of Industry. There is also sightseeing, a visit to the National Monument (Monas) is one of them,” Boby explained.
Amir also expressed his enthusiasm for his visit to Indonesia, especially UMN.
“Because Indonesia is very close to Malaysia, allied, the language is more or less the same, and the people are kind and polite, very comfortable like at home,” Amir said.
With the many fun activities that Amir did while in Indonesia, Amir also did not forget to state that UMN left a good impression on him, especially the UMN building, which is considered unique and is equipped with various interesting facilities that students really need.
“To be honest, I really like the lobby area because it is open, and there are many places for students to study and hang out there. Students can also rest here,” Amir said.
“If there is another opportunity to return to Indonesia and UMN, definitely go back because the people and fellow friends here are very nice. Thank you so much,” Amir concluded.
