April 7, 2022TANGERANG – Various types of investment are increasingly gaining popularity in the community, including among young people. The appeal of large profits seems to trigger this increased investment trend. When in fact, risks will always lurk behind any type of investment.
The Master of Technology Management at Multimedia Nusantara University (MMT UMN) also wants to educate the public through the webinar “Cryptocurrency Investment, NFT, & Binary Options” on Saturday (26/3). This webinar explained various investments, such as cryptocurrencies, digital gold, NFT, and binary options.
Moreover, lately, there are also cases of influencers accused of binary options investment fraud. The public must also be more careful and intelligent in understanding the various types of investments.
The Head of the Market Development and Development Bureau of the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency of the Ministry of Trade, Tirta Karma Senjaya, said that binary options are indeed an illegal investment. Therefore, the public should be able to check the legality of the place where their investment assets are stored.
“If people want to save, especially digital assets, it’s preferable to save it in a registered place [with CoFTRA],” said Tirta.

Tirta emphasized that a credible company would not be ‘ashamed’ to register to the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (CoFTRA) of the Ministry of Trade. In addition, Tirta also emphasized not to believe in sweet promises related to high profits at the beginning of investments, and this is because all investments have risks.
Investment can indeed be a lucrative source of passive income. However, Tirta also revealed the importance of continuing to prioritize active income. Not only that, managing a lifestyle that is not excessive can also be the key to good financial management.
“Improve our capabilities, skills, and knowledge so that our active income increases,” Tirta said.
