There are many factors to be considered when determining where to study. One that can indicate the quality of a Higher Education is the portfolio of the students’ achievements.
Even though it is not the only determining factor, the achievements achieved by students from an educational institution can be considered clear evidence of the competence and competitiveness of students, which is a distinct competitive advantage for their alma mater.
So, in the following article, we will discuss some of the achievements that UMN students have achieved. Let’s read until the end!
“Next Generation Winner” at the “24th DigiCon 6 Asia” event for the Indonesian region
The UMN Film & Animation student team named “Triple Motion” won the “Next Generation Winner” position at the 24th DigiCon6 Asia event for the Indonesian region, Friday (9/9/22). This acquisition was obtained through a short animated film entitled “Blackout.”
This achievement was achieved through a five-minute animated film about a lonely worker obsessed with technology. The worker becomes unable to distinguish between the real and virtual worlds until the virtual world collapses.
Reporting from the Instagram account @jf_jakarta, the DigiCon6 Asia Award is the most prestigious digital content award in Asia, organized by Tokyo Broadcasting System Holdings, Inc. The participating countries are Indonesia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Japan.
Faiz Azhar, the director of this film, admits that he did not expect that his work with Fabian Emillio, Fajar Ponco Suryo, Angie Audelia, and Falmahyra Kezia, which was initially only intended as a Final Semester Examination project for college, would lead them to such proud achievements. The Triple Motion team is currently working on the animated trailer for “Tales From The Winter.”
Following this, “Blackout” will also compete internationally with various Asian representatives at the 24th DigiCon6 Asia Award Ceremony at Marunouchi Hall, Tokyo, Japan, on November 19, 2022.
