Let’s See The List of UMN’s Regional Achievements 

In determining a university as a place to study, the students’ achievements must be an indicator because this is related to the institution’s quality.

Although it is not the only determining factor, the achievements that students have achieved are evidence of the competence and competitiveness of students, which can become a competitive advantage for their alma mater.

So, in the following article, we will discuss some of the students’ achievements at the regional level. Let’s read ‘’til the end!

1. Inauguration of Tangerang Gemilang Regency Branding, Involving UMN VCD Students

VCD UMN students were involved in making the logo, mascot, and jingle branding for the Tangerang Regency. In remarks from the Regent represented by Asda H. Yani Sutisna, S.H., M.Sc., she said that this branding logo would later become the official logo of Tangerang Regency for promotional media and attract investors and tourists.

2. The UMN Architecture Study Program Successfully Won Two IAI Banten 2022 Awards

The UMN Architecture Study Program won several awards at the 2022 IAI Banten Architecture Award Night, held in Hall 10, ICE BSD. The two awards were given for the book “Runduk Padi Behind the Row of Spears” and the UMN building.

This book, published in 2020, won in the category “Writing and Architectural Research” at the 2022 IAI Banten Architecture Awards. This book is the result of an assignment for the “Introduction to Sustainability” course by the Architecture students class of 2018.

The 2022 IAI Banten Architecture Award is a form of appreciation to architects, IAI members, and various architectural works in Banten. Through this award, Apriani hopes architecture, especially in Banten, can continue to develop and be oriented towards society and the environment.

3. The UMN Accounting Student Team Excelled in the Diponegoro Accounting Competition

The UMN accounting student team won 2nd place in the 2022 Diponegoro Accounting Competition (DAC). Diponegoro University organized this competition.

The team of UMN accounting students who excelled was Anastasya Citta Dewi (2019) as team leader, Stefanie Evetania Widjaja (2019), and Olivia (2019).

When Anastasya’s team entered the final round, Anastasya explained that the winner was determined by analyzing and presenting cases regarding the implementation of the new system:

What must be considered, starting from the environmental aspects where the company is located, to the employee’s response to system changes, and even analyzing whether the new system benefits the company or not.

Anastasya also gave tips for UMN students interested in excelling like her team! She suggested understanding the concepts in class, especially from the lectures’ assignments.

When the concept is understood, the application will be easier when competing. Students wouldn’t need to struggle to remember as they have already understood the lesson and the concept.

4. UMN VCD Student’s Batik Design Becomes a Work Attire for East Kalimantan’s Office of Public Works and Public Housing

The work of 2020 UMN VCD student Marshanda Fitri Maharani was chosen as the winner of the Workwear Batik Design Contest for the Office of Public Works Spatial Planning & Public Housing (PUPR & Pera) of East Kalimantan Province.

This competition is one of the activities to welcome the 77th Public Works Service Day. Marshanda was proud and happy to be directly involved in this national-scale competition. The natural wealth of East Kalimantan inspired the design concept. It uses a design pattern that is rarely used. Starting from the dragonfly kestrel to the rare black orchid.
