October 28, 2021TANGERANG – The Alumni Family of Multimedia Nusantara University (KAMI UMN) in collaboration with Biztatic held a masterclass with the title “Be Unique & Attractive in Workspace”. The masterclass is divided into four sessions, namely “Speech”, “Personal Branding”, “Self Construction”, and “Marketing Communication”. On Tuesday night (26/10/21) this has also taken place his second class, “Personal Branding”, by inviting speaker Yunike Haskins as an alumnus of UMN and Miss Indonesia West Sulawesi 2016.
According to Yunike, personal branding is a process of building (build), attracting, and maintaining a public perspective about yourself. He said personal branding is very important to control your reputation, manage other people’s impressions of themselves, and maximize their future career path. For that, personal branding also requires yourself to be able to know yourself.
“Whatever career you choose it will be easier if you already know yourself. Because knowing yourself will really link it to the perspective of people seeing you how,” yunike said.
Related to that definition, Yunike also explained one by one personal branding tips ranging from building (build), attracting ( attract ), and maintaining ( maintain ). First, Yunike outlines in detail how to build personal branding. It consists of figuring out one’s own background, one’s own shortcomings, self-credibility, future dreams, self-differences with role models, self-uniqueness, and the values you want to make principles in yourself.

After you’ve finished trying to recognize yourself through it, the next stage is a way to attract the attention of others. This can be done by displaying and promoting yourself through a variety of skills at their disposal. These skills can also be honed by following various communities, trainings, or organizations. In addition to honing new skills, Yunike says this can also help us gain new connections with others. On the other hand, Yunike also emphasized the importance of having a good attitude and being a good listener.
“Automatically positive people are easier to approach. Cheerful, friendly, and so on. People are curious to make acquaintances with you. In addition, we also have to be good friends as well. We also have to be good listeners,” Yunike said.
The last is how to maintain (maintain) personal branding that has been built. Some tips from Yunike, among others, become relevant by staying up to date with the latest information, improving skills continuously, maintaining connections with others online and offline, and always having a positive attitude. He also advised not to be fake with himself so that everything can be done comfortably. In addition, he also advises to take every opportunity available and not be afraid of failure.
“If you have built, attracted, and maintained, the next thing you can do is renovate. The analogy is like dissecting a house. Keep changing in accordance with the trend because if you continue to be there and there, yes being outdated, “said Yunike.
