This strategy seeks to maximize the communication process with a positive message to smooth the relationship between brand and customer. So, how is the implementation of multi-channel marketing in the startup world? Let’s hear sharing from one of Skypreneur Incubation Program batch 8 Skystar Ventures UMN, namely Cooking Media.
With the mission of helping the problems that are often experienced by housewives, Vilensia together with the team provides a Cooking Media platform, which can provide information about food recipes and provide ready to cook food ingredients. “User persona Cooking Media itself is a young mama whose daily life often plays social media, especially Instagram. So, for now, we will maximize Instagram for promotional facilities,” said Vilensia as Chief of Marketing Cooking Media.
The addition of new features on Instagram such as IG TV, IG Story, and IG Reels makes the opportunities and reach of promotions on Instagram even wider. One of the things to note when using Instagram as a communication channel is interesting content. For starters, Cooking Media creates educational content on how to cook well. Not only that, they will also approach cooking communities that have already created content on Instagram.

Vilensia added, “For now, Cooking Media will focus on developing the Instagram platform first. This is because we are in the stage of making a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). In the future, we have made several plans for promotion by utilizing other communication channels.” !.!.!
Cooking Media will utilize other channels such as websites, Facebook, applications, and e-mail marketing. Of course, each channel has a different purpose. Instagram, Facebook, and e-mail marketing will focus more on increasing user awareness and desire through content such as tips &tricks, games, and facts. Furthermore, users will be directed to the Cooking Media website to buy ready to cook groceries that are their revenue stream.
Later, each communication channel will definitely have different content. This is in accordance with the purpose of the channel and how to optimize the function of each channel. For example, we can’t list a lot of visual content through e-mail marketing. This is because e-mail is more suitable to provide information in the form of writing and short promotions.
