TANGERANG – Informa and the Career Development Center (CDC) of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) held an Informa Goes to Campus event with the theme Sharing Knowledge. This activity aims to share knowledge about facing the world of work and business after graduating from college. It was held at UMN’s Lecture Hall on Thursday (March 2, 2023).
Informa is one of the subsidiaries of the Kawan Lama Group, engaged in furniture. Presenting Informa’s Vice President of Marketing Communication Bertha Hapsari as a speaker, delivering material on Strong Brand Positioning to be with Your Customer’s Heart.
Having competitors in the same field is a challenge for marketing to give a brand an advantage and attract people to buy products from the brand.
Bertha explained that in a competition with other brands, a brand must first have uniqueness and value to show its differences and advantages.

In addition, in competition with competitors, there is competition in price or price wars. Because with this price competition, the business can continue to run. However, it must pay attention to various aspects to avoid getting too carried away in the price war.
“With a price war, business can go on, but be careful because it can make us rise and fall. Don’t get too carried away with the price war,” said Bertha.
In the last session, participants were invited to play an interaction game about guessing the character of one of Informa’s staff as an example of brand charm, brand identity, and others, which was the conclusion of the material presented.
