TANGERANG – In the past year, hundreds of UMN students have received various achievements at the regional, national, and international levels. UMN also held a Symbol of Appreciation 2022 event at the Lecture Theatre, Building D UMN, Tuesday (6/12/2022).
UMN routinely conducts a Symbol of Appreciation event every year to appreciate the achievements of UMN students, both in the academic and non-academic fields. UMN Chancellor, Ninok Leksono, expressed the various achievements of UMN students as something to be incredibly proud of.
According to Ninok, outstanding UMN students deserve to receive awards despite their challenges. Because of that, he said that this event symbolizes appreciating the hard work of UMN students in their work.
“I believe that these achievements are like the ‘tip of the iceberg.’ Some aspects (of the achievements) are not visible, such as their efforts and others. We don’t see the process,” Ninok said.
Ninok also hopes this Symbol of Appreciation can continue to motivate UMN students to break their best achievement records. In line with that, UMN’s Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Ika Yanuarti, also hopes this event can encourage students to continue to excel.

Ika also stressed that UMN would continue to support UMN students in their work. The support was done, ranging from funding to other things. In the 2022 Symbol of Appreciation, UMN also provides coaching funds for outstanding UMN students.
“We really support student achievements. Therefore, let us continue to make UMN proud and improve our best works so that we can always excel,” Ika said.
