Here’s How to Register for a Master’s Degree at UMN

If you are one of those people and are interested in deepening your knowledge of technology management or communication science, then the master’s program at UMN is for you. Currently, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara also has two postgraduate programs, Master of Technology Management (Magister Managemen Teknologi/MMT) and Master of Communication Science (Magister Ilmu Komunikasi/MIK). Both programs have achieved excellent accreditation from BAN-PT. So, the quality is unquestionable.

Master’s Program Registration Process

The first step in registering as a master’s program student at UMN is to fulfill the existing requirements. The requirements that must be followed are as follows:

1. Fill out the online registration form.
2. Uploading documents on the registration link. The documents are:

• Personal identity (ID and family card)
• Photocopy of an undergraduate certificate
• Copy of undergraduate grades
• TOEFL paper-based certificate min. 475/equivalent (for MMT student candidates) or TOEFL/TOEIC certificate min. 500/equivalent (for MIK student candidates) that are still valid.
• Letter of recommendation from the company
• Must be a graduate of a university accredited by The National Accreditation Body for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
• College graduates from various study groups as long as they meet the requirements.

If these requirements have been met, then you will be required to take the entrance exam selection. What are the test materials?

The exam materials for prospective MIK students include the Academic Potential Test and interview. For prospective MMT students, in addition to the Academic Potential Test and interviews, there will also be an exam in the form of a case study analysis.

UMN Masters Program Registration Schedule

Registration for UMN’s Master of Management Technology and Master of Communication Science programs is open. After fulfilling the requirements and registering, you can take the exam, which is held every Saturday and conducted online. 

Later, after successfully passing the entrance selection, all postgraduate students are required to take matriculation. Exceptions only apply to students of UMN’s Master of Communication Science program who are graduates of the Faculty of Communication Sciences.

UMN Master’s Program Schedule

You can attend lectures if you have successfully entered UMN’s postgraduate program. The duration of the master’s program is three semesters (1.5 years). 

The lecture times for the two master’s programs are as follows:

MMT UMN

Monday – Thursday: 18.30 – 21.00 WIB

MIK UMN

Tuesday and Thursday: 18.30 – 21.00 WIB

Saturday: 08.00 – 16.30 WIB
