August 14, 2017Continuing Education Department (CED) of Multimedia Nusantara University which houses THE BIPA Program (Indonesian for Foreign Speakers) UMN – a provider of Indonesian course programs for WNA – held the inaugural graduation for its students, located at the UMN Lecture Hall, Friday (11/8). This is as a form of appreciation to the students and the commitment of the CED team together with BIPA UMN teachers to always provide excellent service to foreign students who study Indonesian at BIPA UMN.
Established since 2013, the first graduation that coincided with the Second Batch of UMN BIPA Program 2017 became its own momentum for its existence. Umn’s Inaugural Graduation is filled with interesting appearances from Beginner, Madya, and Mahir level students.
Wearing accessories from one of indonesia’s tribes, the students showed their teeth boldly in giving singing performances, reading chain poems, and storytelling folklore, all using Indonesian. The teachers also participated by giving singing performances, reading poetry, and puppetry. There is also a quiz guessing the vocabulary of Indonesian that is no less festive and followed by representatives from each level of Beginner, Madya, and Mahir.
Through the inaugural graduation of BIPA UMN, students from each level obtained certificates containing grades and achievements to have completed the Indonesian study program in Batch II 2017. Teachers and representatives of CED UMN handed certificates to dozens of UMN BIPA students consisting of students with South Korean, Chinese, and Maldives nationals.
The event continued with the announcement of the best students from each level and the announcement of the winner of the best guessing, singing, and performance quiz, each won by the Beginner level, Madya level, and Advanced level, accompanied by the awarding of prizes and souvenirs; and closed with photos with students, teachers, and CED.
See you in September 2017 to start Batch III. Greetings BIPA UMN! (*)
