Tangerang, July 29, 2024 – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) hosted the Festival of Social Creativity (FeSoVity) 2024 on July 27, 2024. This event aims to introduce ecological literacy to elementary school children through various creative activities that combine education and play.
FeSoVity 2024 results from UMN’s collaboration with Sociopreneur ID, part of its commitment to supporting sustainable development through quality education. The event was attended by 400 elementary school students from Tangerang and surrounding areas, with support from 121 young volunteers. It was held in UMN’s green and eco-friendly campus environment, designed to support sustainable learning.
Dr. Arief Iswariyadi, Chairman of the Global Entrepreneurship Meeting 2024 Committee from UMN, said, “At UMN, we believe that every corner of the campus can be a classroom that teaches the importance of sustainability. FeSoVity 2024 is one of the ways we show that education and creativity can go hand in hand to instill ecological values in the younger generation.”
FeSoVity 2024 featured various activities that emphasized ecological literacy, such as “My Dream,” “Green Exploration,” “Earthvenger,” and “Heal the World” games. Through these activities, children are invited to understand the importance of protecting the environment and play an active role in creating a better world.
With its eco-friendly architecture, UMN provides a living example of teaching sustainability to students. We hope that through FeSoVity 2024, students can understand and apply sustainability principles daily.
UMN continues to innovate in creating learning spaces that support ecological literacy and sustainability. Through FeSoVity 2024, UMN hopes to make a real contribution to shaping future generations of leaders who care about the environment and are ready to face global challenges.
