Mohammad Rizaldi started his career in the academic field 10 years ago as a part time lecturer, in 2008 when he was still active as a professional in the field of mass media design and creative industries. Since 2011, Mohammad Rizaldi, who is usually known as Rizaldi, has been registered as a permanent lecturer in the Visual Communication Design Study Program at the Faculty of Art and Design of UMN. His academic career began with assuming a structural position as coordinator of elementary level lectures in 2014, as well as receiving an award as ‘The Best Employee-Kompas Gramedia from UMN’ in that period. Furthermore, he was trusted as Secretary of the Visual Communication Design Study Program in 2015 until 2017 he was entrusted with being the Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program.
Rizaldi has a series of experiences in the media and printing fields, starting as an internship at a tabloid Jawa Pos Group and continued with joining the artistic team at Detect Jawa Pos Surabaya in 2004. After graduating from college as the best graduate of the study program at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology with a concentration in Graphic Design in the Industrial Product Design Study Program in 2005, Rizaldi continued his career as an artistic staff production manager at PT. Antar Surya Jaya as a remote site for Gramedia Printing Group for East Java and East Indonesia, to a drafter and Art Designer at Esquire Magazine. Indonesia-Jakarta in 2007.
In his creative journey, Rizaldi joined and founded the Creative Association in Cimahi from 2009-2018 which started as the chairman of the Animation division, then continued in 2011 as the head of the research and development division, and is now one of the founders of the Cimahi Creative Action Association. While joining the creative association, Rizaldi did a lot of development and research which was also appointed in his master’s thesis which he took at the Bandung Institute of Technology in 2011 especially for the development of vocational animation education at the vocational high school level. In addition, Rizaldi also has several intellectual properties in character design and design theory and has produced several creative products in the field of digital games on mobile and PC platforms.
