Fransiscus Xaverius Lilik Dwi Mardjianto joined Digital Journalism Department, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, in 2012 as a lecturer and researcher. He is now a PhD Candidate at the News & Media Research Centre, the University of Canberra, Australia.
His research interest focuses on digital fact-checking and misinformation studies. He is actively involved in movements and networks supported by the Alliance of Independent Journalists, the Association of Indonesian Cyber Media, and the Google News Initiative to combat misinformation in Indonesia.
He has been publishing works on digital fact-checking and misinformation busting in the forms of books, research reports, journal articles, and columns. Some of those works are Digital News Report: Australia 2023 (2023), Fact Checks in Indonesia need more visual elements to cut through, our research shows (2023), Fact-check Audience in Indonesia 2022 (2022), Digital Literacy Module for College (2022), Fact Check Against Infodemics (2021), and Inflection Point 2021 (2021),
Before becoming a lecturer and researcher, Lilik was a journalist for several Indonesian news outlets.
