Tangerang (23/11/2023) – More than 30 technology startups and 12 leading venture capitals in Indonesia were present at Skystar Ventures Coworking Space, Multimedia Nusantara University, at the Demo Day & Speed Dating event organized by Skystar Ventures UMN.
The Demo Day event organized by Skystar Ventures UMN is a forum for students to introduce their business ideas and innovative solutions to venture capital and accelerators. Four startups fostered by Skystar Ventures are engaged in the creative and technology industries and are participating in this Demo Day event, namely Waphel, Modelo Labs, MaPaw, and QuickWorks. These four startups have successfully completed Skystar Ventures’ 10th batch incubation program for six months.
The Head of the Skystar Ventures Incubator and UMN’s Vice-Rector for General Administration and Finance, Ir. Andrey Andoko, M.Sc., said, “The Skystar Ventures incubation program was created as a forum to facilitate students to become entrepreneurs. Per UMN’s vision, it is hoped that the startups that participate in this Demo Day can continue their business so that when they graduate, they can create jobs.”

In addition to Demo Day, in this series of events, there was also a Speed Dating session attended by 30 technology-based startups to discuss their innovative products and services with venture capital. The startups present had diverse industry backgrounds ranging from e-commerce, SaaS, fintech, edtech, healthtech, sustainability, and more. In addition, 12 venture capitals were also present, consisting of Skystar Capital, East Ventures, BNI Ventures, BRI Ventures, Kejora Capital, Living Lab Ventures, OCBC Ventura, Vertex Venture, GDP Ventures, Trihill Capital, 1982 Ventures, and DSX Ventures.
Overall, this event is expected to facilitate startups in delivering innovative solutions. In addition, it can also open doors for collaboration between startups to explore potential and funding opportunities with venture capital.
