Tangerang – On (22/11/2024) UMN and Kontan organized a career day and packaged it in the ‘Money Fest’ event. This activity was held for two days on the UMN campus. The Money Fest activity is aimed at helping students, alumni, and the community to find employment.
Career Day UMN is an annual event held by UMN’s Career Development Center. This year, UMN’s Career Day collaborates with Kontan, one of the media under the Kompas Group.
“The Career Day is packed with seminars, talk shows, and other Kontan events. We are collaborating with Kontan in this activity. We hope that with a different event this time, it can attract interest from UMN students in particular and the public to attend the Money Fest and Career Day events,” said Dr. Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, CSA, as Vice Rector for Student Affairs.
Ika hopes this event will increase knowledge and provide opportunities to apply directly to participating companies. Many students and alumni highly anticipate this event. Ika hopes there will be more UMN graduates and students so they can be recruited by the industry.
“We must guide UMN students so that they have sufficient knowledge for finance and work. So that they will have more abilities and will not be afraid of technological developments. I am happy that Kontan and UMN managed to organize this event, even though we know that many companies have laid off employees and there are several fast food outlets that have closed. But surprisingly, today there is even a job fair event, in the midst of many layoffs,” Cipta Wahyana, the Business GM of Kontan, said.
This year, Money Fest is not only a job fest but also provides seminars with seven speakers to fill the workshop. The speakers are Friderica Widyasari, a Member of OJK Board of Commissioners; Harry Sofri Putranda, VP of Digital Banking Group Bank Mandiri; Angga Dwimas Sasongko, Founder and Group CEO Visinema; Marlo Ernesto as Content Creator; Junialdi Dwijaputra, Head of Level Up Powered by Agate; Anjas Maradita as AI Enthusiast; and Kevin Gani as CMO of KG Media. The event was also closed by performances from Reality Club and Dikta.
The Career Day invited more than 30 national and multinational companies engaged in various fields, including hotels, the creative industry, IT, beauty, and many more.
